Baveline 12 years old Doublewood Whiskey

Perfected over 10 years by the Scotch whisky industry’s longest serving Malt Master, David C. Stewart MBE, the Balvenie’s 12-Year-Old Doublewood Whisky has been pleasing palates for over 25 years.

This single malt whisky is aged in American oak bourbon casks for a minimum of 12 years before select barrels are transferred to Spanish ex-oloroso sherry casks for nine months.

These casks are then combined in large oak ‘tuns’ for 3-4 months, to allow the whiskies to marry, before being bottled as Balvenie 12-Year-Old Doublewood whisky.

The original cask maturation softens the whisky and adds sweet flavors of honey and vanilla, in the sherry casks the whisky obtains richer notes of spice, dried fruit and oloroso sherry.

With a long finish, this whisky is the perfect introduction to the world of cask finished Scotch.

Perfect Serve: Drink neat, with a small amount of water to open up the whisky.
